Frequently Asked Questions.
Quick answers to what most customers ask about paint and body work.
What kind of body work do you do?
Full-service work — frame straightening, dent and panel repair, welding, rust repair, sandblasting, priming, painting, and spray-in bedliner. We work on truck bodies, not just cabs, so if your dump body, service body, or flatbed is beat up, we can bring it back.
Can you match my truck's existing paint color?
Yes — we color-match paint so repairs blend in. Whether it's a factory color or a custom fleet color, we'll get it as close as possible. For fleet operators, we can paint everything in your brand colors to keep your trucks consistent.
What's the deal with sandblasting?
Sandblasting strips off old paint, rust, and corrosion down to clean metal so the new finish actually sticks and lasts. Skipping proper surface prep is why cheap paint jobs peel and bubble. We blast it right so your finish holds up.
Is a spray-in bedliner worth it?
For a work truck, absolutely. A spray-in bedliner protects against scratches, dents, rust, and chemicals — and it's textured so cargo doesn't slide around. We can coat truck beds, rocker panels, or even full bodies for serious protection.
How do I get a quote on body work?
Send us photos. Fill out the form with what's going on and email pictures of the damage to info@nicholstruckbodies.com — the more angles the better. We'll give you a ballpark and, for bigger jobs, schedule an in-person look. Paint and body work really needs eyes on it for an accurate number.
How long does paint and body work take?
Depends on the scope. A small repair and repaint might be a few days; a full strip-blast-prime-paint job or major body repair takes longer. We'll give you a realistic timeline once we see the work.
Do you do collision repair?
Yes — panel replacement, frame straightening, and refinishing after a collision. If your work truck got into it, bring it in and we'll assess what it needs.
Prefer to talk it through?
Body and paint work often need a conversation to scope properly. Call us — we'll talk through the damage, give you a ballpark, and schedule an in-person estimate if needed.
