Frequently Asked Questions.
Quick answers to what most customers ask about DOT inspections.
How long does a DOT inspection take?
For a single truck, plan on about an hour for the inspection itself. It can vary depending on what we find and the type of vehicle. If you've got a fleet, let us know how many trucks and we'll schedule accordingly so we're not holding anybody up.
What happens if my truck fails?
If something doesn't pass, we'll show you exactly what failed and why. The good news — we're a full repair shop, so in most cases we can fix the issue right here and get you passed without you having to go anywhere else. No running around to multiple shops.
How often do I need a DOT inspection?
Federal law requires a DOT inspection once every 12 months for commercial vehicles. A lot of operators set a reminder around the same time each year. If you run a fleet, we can help you stay on top of the schedule.
What do I need to bring?
Bring your vehicle registration, your last DOT inspection report if you have it, your insurance card, and the keys. That's it. If you're missing something, come anyway and we'll work it out.
How does booking work?
Fill out the booking form with your preferred date and time. We'll review it and call you back within one business day to confirm or suggest another time. Your appointment isn't locked in until we've talked — that way nobody's schedule gets crossed up.
What times are available?
We do inspections Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 11:00 AM and 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM. Pick whatever slot works best on the booking form and we'll confirm it.
Can you inspect my whole fleet?
Yes — we handle fleets of all sizes. Let us know how many trucks when you book and we'll get them scheduled efficiently. Recurring fleet inspections are something we're happy to set up so you're not scrambling every year.
Need it inspected today?
Sometimes you can't wait. Call us directly and we'll see if we can squeeze you in — we keep some flex time in our schedule for urgent compliance work.
