Nichols Truck Bodies Bent Plate Department use ASTM A36 grade plate steel in our truck fabrication, we choose ASTM A 36 because or its great option in affordability and its heavy-duty metal capabilities. ASTM A 36 offers good machinability. It is widely used in heavy-duty equipment such as bulldozers and commonly used in tooling and machine applications. We find it to be a great all around grade due to the versatile application and ease of use while still giving us the durability and strength need.
